Where our Story Begins
Where our Story Begins is a personal project I made to sell at the artist books fair in Winchester.
The book can be read both ways (front and back) and follows two characters at a party and how their love story began to blossom that night.
The first half is from the girl's point of view and the second half from the boy's, showing both sides of a situation inspired by real-life events.
It was important for me to explore how the same situation can be seen differently or be attached to different emotions depending on the person.

What A Poem’s Not
What A Poem's Not is a poem written by John Hegley in 2016. It talks about all the things a poem is not by comparing it to various objects and words in alphabetical order.
If you want to read it :
I was inspired by the poem to make my own illustrated artist's book, using part of the poem to create a story about a girl walking her dog and being sad when she sees a prison, but her joy comes back when her dog tries to reassure her. I limited myself to using only parts of the poem in the text and not adding any of my own, while maintaining a consistent narrative.

Through the Window
Through the Window is a personal little illustrated story. Inspired by my own memories of the moment, I wanted to capture the feeling I experienced in my memories and let others experience it. I focused on the feeling of a vague memory through the sketchbook art style and the lack of objects in the room, concentrating only on the moment and the main elements that I remember.

Penguin, 2021
Based on the 2021 Penguin book cover competition, I created my own version of the 2024 book cover. Inspired by the passage I read from the book: Diary Of A Young Naturalist (2021), I decided to focus on three words: Fox, window and wildlife, then I worked on the project, creating something true to my style and identity that would represent the book in my eyes. I also created my own font specially for the cover.
